Code of Conduct​

At B-SENSUAL DANCE CO, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where dancers can learn, grow, and enjoy the beauty of dance. To protect the integrity of our community, all students, instructors, and guests are expected to follow this Code of Conduct.

1. Respect & Inclusivity

  • Treat everyone with kindness, courtesy, and respect.

  • Our community welcomes all regardless of age, gender, race, culture, or sexual orientation.

  • Respect personal boundaries on and off the dance floor.

2. Zero Tolerance for Sexual Harassment

  • Sexual harassment of any kind is not tolerated.

  • This includes unwanted physical contact, inappropriate comments, suggestive behavior, or making others feel uncomfortable.

  • Consent is essential — always ask before initiating close movement, embraces, or dips.

  • Anyone engaging in harassment will be asked to leave and may lose membership or event privileges.

3. Dance Floor Etiquette

  • Maintain good hygiene and wear appropriate dance attire.

  • Ask politely when inviting someone to dance, and accept both “yes” and “no” gracefully.

  • Be mindful of space and considerate of other dancers.

4. Safety & Communication

  • Prioritize your partner’s comfort and safety at all times.

  • Speak up if something feels unsafe or uncomfortable — and respect others when they do the same.

  • Only attempt moves you have been taught and practiced safely.

5. Community Spirit

  • Encourage and uplift your fellow dancers.

  • Keep the atmosphere positive, supportive, and fun.

  • Represent our dance family with professionalism and pride.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Harassment of any kind is strictly against our values and will never be tolerated. Together, we strive to create a space where everyone can grow, connect, and thrive through dance.

Education

Definition of Harassment

Harassment includes any unwelcome conduct — verbal, physical, or visual — that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Sexual harassment: unwanted touching, suggestive comments, lewd jokes, or gestures.

  • Verbal harassment: insults, threats, or offensive language.

  • Non-verbal harassment: inappropriate staring, gestures, or behavior that makes others uncomfortable.

  • Online harassment: disrespectful or inappropriate messages via social media, email, or texts related to our dance community.

2011-2014

Zero Tolerance for Sexual Harassment

  • Consent is essential. Any physical contact in dance must be respectful and agreed upon.

  • Unwanted physical advances, inappropriate comments, or sexual misconduct will not be tolerated.

  • Anyone engaging in harassment will be asked to leave immediately and may lose membership, class, or event privileges without refund.

2007-2010

Reporting Harassment

If you experience or witness harassment:

  •  - Speak to an instructor, staff member, or company director immediately.

  • -  Reports will be taken seriously, handled confidentially, and addressed promptly.

  • - No retaliation will be taken against anyone who makes a report in good faith.

Our Commitment

  • We will provide a safe space for everyone to learn and enjoy dance.

  • We will take action against any behavior that violates this policy.

  • We encourage respect, kindness, and professionalism in all interactions.

⚠️ Violation of this Code of Conduct — including any form of harassment — may result in immediate removal from classes or events, and denial of services without refund.
